Curt Cream's début on Dublin Xpress is a full frontal assault of 4/4 beats in a traditional Chicago house style, but with a modern European, specifically German underground vibe. Whilst the world listens to the hard techno of Tresor, the Minimal of Minus and the Motor city funk of Ostgut Ton there is a serious house scene evolving in the small towns and suburbs of Germany and Curt Cream and his ilk, TCane for example are leading the way in this Anti-Berlin return to house music and happy vibes.
Curt Cream is a passionate DJ. Already at the age of 14 Curt Cream, whose real name is Thorsten Reb got into electronic music. Since then his mixes is making people dance, nationally as well as internationally. From Thailands Koh Phangas full moon party to main Bavarian Clubs. His unique sound is catching on.
In the early 1990s his journey began at a youth club in Baiersdorf, a suburban town of Erlangen in Germany. As many fresh kids in the scene, he started by playing out house music but has been continuously looking for inspiration and new techniques to enhance his personal style. Being a residential DJ at Franconia¿s oldest Techno-Club ¿Market¿ he had the chance to meet leading DJs like Kenny Larkin, Frank Lorber or Pascal F.E.O.S. Those experiences shaped him in an inspirational way, to find his own individual style.
Currently Curt Cream is being championed by the likes of TCane, Elpierro, Captain Random, Brian Taaffe, Kaaffe & Kippen, Mike Polar, Phasen, Thomas Stiller, Caspar Van Der brink, DJ Manu, Fleecy Sounds, Rainey, Nachklangmusik & more.
