After Mia Grobelny's recent EP "Arcane" it's now up to Falko Brocksieper to carry on the relaunch of their long-known Sub Static label. Embracing the classic values of techno, the title track "Excellent Upload" immediatly unfolds its ear-splitting character, induced by a slamming drumbeat and memories of early european techno. Conforce (Delsin/Clone/Curle Records), takes his remix to an even darker place, using a bubbly bassline, lightfooted fast beats and an enigmatic string arrangement to reinforce his current standing as the dutch mastermind of detroit-flavoured, atmospheric techno. Finally "Epic Share" takes minimal techno back to a time when awkward sequencing on top on a stiff, dry beat was the right way to do it - and still should be! "Excellent Upload" is Falko Brocksieper's 26th EP, raising the anticipation of his 3rd album "Shortcake Strategy", which will be released on Cologne's Treibstoff Records in autumn 2012.
